Do your best work,
then go outside.

We are a small team building something people trust with their lives. That takes care, curiosity and enough time in the mountains to know what matters there.

Do not see a fit? We read every open application. Tell us what you would build at careers@diorite.ai.

  • Own the models that reconcile weather, snowpack and trip reports into a single honest brief. You will decide what the Conditions Engine believes when its sources disagree.

    What you will do

    • Build and evaluate ensembles that blend forecast models, bulletins and observations
    • Design calibration so confidence scores mean what they say
    • Work weekly with the safety council on failure cases

    What you bring

    • 5+ years shipping ML systems to production
    • Comfort with geospatial or time-series data
    • Personal experience in avalanche or alpine terrain is a strong plus
    Apply for this role
  • Make Diorite work at minus twenty with no signal and gloves on. You will own the offline runtime, battery budget and the interface people see when it matters most.

    What you will do

    • Ship on-device inference on iOS and Android within a strict power budget
    • Build offline maps, tracking and sync that never lose a breadcrumb
    • Field-test releases with guides every month

    What you bring

    • 4+ years of native iOS or Android development
    • Experience with on-device ML, maps or location is a plus
    • Respect for interfaces that must work under stress
    Apply for this role

    • Maintain integrations with 58 avalanche centers worldwide
    • Author and grade scenarios for the release review
    • Partner with forecasters on how hazard is communicated

    • At least three seasons of field observation work
    • Comfort with spreadsheets, and curiosity about code
    Apply for this role
  • Design the glanceable moments: a turnaround alert on a watch face, a pace nudge on a ridge. Every pixel has to earn its place on a 45mm screen.

    What you will do

    • Lead design for Apple Watch, Garmin and Coros experiences
    • Prototype and test with real parties in real weather
    • Shape the Diorite design system across devices

    What you bring

    • A portfolio showing shipped product work under constraints
    • Experience designing for small screens or hardware
    • You spend time outdoors and notice what fails there
    Apply for this role
  • Build our relationships with guide services, huts, clubs and mountain athletes across the Alps, and bring what they teach us back to the product.

    What you will do

    • Run our guide partner program in France, Switzerland and Italy
    • Host clinics and events from Chamonix to Zermatt
    • Turn member feedback into clear product insight

    What you bring

    • Deep roots in the Alpine climbing or ski community
    • Fluent English and French; Italian or German is a plus
    • Clear writing and a calm presence in a crowded room
